Smeagle Black - It's Friday

Hahaha...no words can explain how awesome this is...

Gollum, Smeagle or Rebecca?
Rebecca Black jokes never get old...even though she's enough of a joke as it is.

Enjoy it!

I love Kuwait!

I love Kuwait!
As my dear friend would say. "Ana O7ebo Al Kuwait!". This is just a shot I took from my phone by the staircase of my friend's apartment. I liked the way the scenery looked so I clicked a few pics. The lighting was not the best - especially for a camera phone so forgive me if the quality isn't so great. However, I thought I'd share this beauty shot with all of you Kuwait lovers. It's truly a place to admire. Sometimes it's right there in front of us, but we don't take the time to notice how beautiful Kuwait can be.

Sharks of Kuwait, Al-Jazeera (Witness)

We all know that Kuwait used to rely on pearl diving and fishing for a living. Since the discovery of oil and the mass exportation of oil, our history at sea seems to be lost - or atleast we stopped caring about it.

I stumbled onto this Al-Jazeera piece about the Sharks of Kuwait. A few of the true traditional Pearl-Divers of Kuwait's past were interviewed. This small documentary pretty much highlights how the Arabian Gulf has suffered due to pollution and excessive fishing. The lack of sharks in our Gulf is not just appalling but dangerous. It seems that our ecosystem is suffering from all aspects.

This documentary is a short one, it's about 20 minutes. Click the jump below to open this blog post and watch this emotional, yet educational short length documentary.

Kuwaiti Killdozer

Next to the football field in which I play at every Saturday and Sunday night, I found this.

It's been left outside the field because they're building another one right next to the field. However, when I saw this I thought of the killdozer (the bulldozer post I posted about a few days ago). I could imagine building an awesome tank out of this. Anyways, nothing important but I'm fascinated by large machinery. If you want to see more pics of this huge bulldozer click the jump below (actually I think it's a cement layer/flattener).

Movie Tailer: Apollo 18

I've been dying to see this. It was originally set to be released on the 26th of August 2011, but now it's to be released September 2nd, 2011.

I'm a sucker for these kinds of sci-fi / thriller movies.

Check out the trailer below.

If you want to know more information about the movie, click the jump below to read more about it.

My Guilty Pleasure

It all starts with one blossom.
In Kuwait, we complain that there is not much to do and that we are always doing the same old things. However, do we really take advantage of what's around us? Do we take advantage of our interests?

There is one thing I love to do at night before going to bed and that my friends is gardening. Many of you are probably thinking "what is a 25 year old guy doing gardening?" "Isn't that for old people?"

I beg to differ...click the jump below to find out why gardening is my guilty pleasure.

Health and Fitness - Running Shoes and Running.

As you all may or may not know, I've recently quit smoking. Honestly, I stopped counting after 2 weeks or so but I'm going to ballpark a figure around a month and a half of non smoking now. I feel great. Sure my stamina is not at it's best or anywhere close to my younger years but man is it starting to boost up.

So I've decided that I want to do more long distance running to help boost my stamina. Naturally, the next step after a few runs was to shift into buying proper running shoes. Here are a few things you need to know if you want to make the best of your running.

Bulldozer Madness

Revenge against the machine...or with the machine rather.
A man gets screwed over by his local district and a bunch of local companies, so he develops his own hard core tank out of a bulldozer. The killdozer reeks havoc across the city!

God, I love the Discovery Channel!

Music With Meaning

Lupe Fiasco does it again...

This is his video for "words I never said" featuring Skylar Grey.

Truly the king of rap! I prefer his older stuff but that doesn't take anything away from his newer stuff. Pure genius. Truly a great music video. A lot of small hidden messages in the video, see if you guys can pick up on it.

Alors En Arabes

Again, was stumbling on youtube and found this video.

Alors En Danse - the Arabic parody version. At least I think it's a parody. You never know anymore.

Anyways, enjoy it!

How To Fight Racism Via Facebook.

Okay, you know I'm not a big fan of these "fight for a cause using a facebook status" but I found that this was probably the most creative one I've seen so far considering fighting racism via a facebook status.

Los Cigarros

So I've got a slight obsession with Cigars.

Cohiba
Okay so here's the deal...

New Perspective On Things.

I know we all tend to blabber on about how Kuwait doesn't have anything interesting to do, but I beg to differ. There are many options out there, you can go to the hunting and equestrian club, maybe tee off at the Sahara golf club, or take some shots at the shooting range. The list goes on such as paintball, milsim, go karting and much more.

However, let's get real...

Kuwait 1984-1986

So I was just goofin around on youtube. Was looking for interesting footage of Kuwait in the past and stumbled on to this:
